Yarmouk Hand Embroidered Rectangle Cushion
Oshana's Yarmouk colourful embroidered cushion is inspired by ancient Palestinian embroidery patterns and is an ode to the Yarmouk area in Damascus which served as a host for Palestinian refugees in Syria. Many of the artisans that Oshana work with are Syrian Palestinian women who found refuge in Yarmouk, and have now been displaced again due to conflict. Each cushion is made by refugee women using techniques passed down the generations - skills that are vital to the Palestinian identity. True to traditional Palestinian embroidery, the hand-stitched cushion is bold and rich in pattern and colour. Mix and match with other cushions from the designers collection for an impactful display full of character and story.
