This striped white and pink throw adds a depth to any look, indoors or outside. The pure cotton throw is handwoven in Ghana using robust traditional hand looms to create a patina of "imperfections" across this throw that creates a timeworn texture and an instant ‘heirloom’. The throw has a white base set off with pink stripes and complete with a tassel trim.

Handwoven by Dagaaba women weavers of north Ghana using 100% carbon-neutral cotton grown by smallholder African farmers. The patterns are the weavers’ own, and the colour schemes are taken from the hues that the Dagaaba people use to paint their houses.

Material: 100% cotton, grown by smallholder African farmers under the ‘Cotton made in Africa’ initiative.
Size: 150cm x 125cm
Care instructions: Machine wash in cool water. Steam iron if required.

Made in Ghana. UK Delivery only, 5-7 days. Free returns to our UK warehouse.

ABOUT THE BRAND

Boon & Up

Boon & Up produce a range of beautiful homeware products carefully created in the Dagaaba region in the remote far northwest of Ghana. Their throws, cushions, blankets and rugs have all been expertly handwoven by a collective of women weavers using sustainable materials. The cotton that goes into their throws and cushion covers is 100% sustainable cotton grown by smallholder African farmers under the ‘Cotton made in Africa’ initiative. The wool for all their blankets and rugs is surplus wool sourced from mills in north England. Boon & Up seeks to remain authentic to tradition whilst adapting the weavers’ designs for a new market. In doing so it brings much needed employment to this impoverished part of our world. 20% of profits are invested in projects that provide further employment oppor
