Ardmore Design is a South African brand producing vibrant and elegant homeware for a global audience. Founded in 2010, the brand translates the distinctive imagery of its sister brand Ardmore Ceramic Art into exquisite lifestyle products. Made from the finest locally-sourced materials, their collections take inspiration from Africa’s fauna, flora and Zulu folklore. The brand has had collaborations with a variety of luxury brands, from Hermès to Cole & Son, and can be seen in the most exclusive addresses across the world, including Cape Town’s destination hotel, The Silo, and Kit Kemp-designed hotels in London and New York.

Process

Illustrations inspired by Africa’s fauna, flora and Zulu folklore are hand-drawn and painted by artists before being turned into graphic designs and digitally printed onto locally sourced materials.

Makers

Each piece is the collaborative work of a team of artists in South Africa.

Community

The Ardmore Community Fund uses the creative arts to drive development in South Africa, including the Ardmore Arts Program at Thembelihle School which educates 400 children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
