They are committed to working in tandem with African artisans to keep traditional techniques and design practices alive whilst creating dignified working opportunities. Founder of Weruzo, Chinasa, is a British-Nigerian creative director and cultural entrepreneur. Her approach to design is inspired by traditional African artisanship, craftsmanship and cultural histories filtered through the lens of her background in fashion, curation, art direction and publishing. She is drawn to the ways in which African design, fashion, art and craft cultures and communities can be preserved while reflecting contemporary influences, details and lives.
