Collection: La Muerte Tiene Permiso*

Location of artisan makers: Mexico

Founded by architect and designer Omar Ortiz Franco, La muerte tiene permiso* arose from a desire to share a contemporary Mexican design aesthetic in a European context. The brand partners with generations-old workshops around Mexico to create objects informed in part by the crafts, histories and folk stories of Mexico, and also by Omar’s architectural design aesthetic. The collections combine the unique materials and historic traditions of his country with a contemporary finish that focuses on clean lines and attention to materials. The * at the end of the brand’s name symbolises that every object has its own story waiting to be researched.
