Something Good Studio

Dekko Blue & White Cotton Blanket / Throw

Dekko Blue & White Cotton Blanket / Throw

A blue cotton throw featuring a vibrant, eye-catching design. The pattern was designed by 21 year old South African Communication Design & Illustration student Tanya Vermaak. The design was selected by the public as one of the top three winners for Something Good Studio’s annual design competition which is aimed at local young designers. Made in South Africa, the two-tonal blanket is made from 100% cotton sourced locally from farmers and custom dyed in the Eastern Cape. Jacquard reversible knit and complete with a ribbed trim on two sides. Looks great draped over the sofa, or keep it at the end of your bed for cosy styling.

Tanya designed the Dekko blanket as something to experience:

“Dekko (noun), meaning ‘a quick look or glance’. I wanted to create something to look at, to catch the eye, maybe for just a brief second, or maybe for a bit longer. I wanted to create a pattern that is unique and interesting in every part. One line leading the eye to another. It then becomes an experience, and I hope you have the best experience with this blanket!”
